Vodacom’s M-Pesa, DTB in partnership deal

M-PESA customers can now withdrawal cash through Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) ATMs, following a partnership deal between DTB and Vodacom Tanzania.

This extension of withdrawal channel will be an addition to more than 40,000 existing M-Pesa agents across
the country. A DTB ATM is now like any other M-pesa agent which offers 24-hour access to Cash. “DTB has continued with their innovation strides by introducing new products, services, opening branches and ATM’s countrywide.

“It has been DTB’s strategy to improve the service delivery to existing and potential customers all over Tanzania.
DTB aims to bring banking closer to people all over Tanzania,” according to a statement issued in Dar es
Salaam.
Head of Sales and Marketing for DTB, Mr Sylvester Bahati, said: “It is the service of its kind that enables more convenience to M-pesa users.” Mr Salum Mwalim, Vodacom Manager for External Affairs said, “This is yet another milestone that we are marking today.
