Via the apps, passengers can view booking details and flight information, check-in online, track checked-in luggage, see updates regarding departures and arrivals, and access information about various facilities available at airports.
The apps also include a number of other useful features, such as a currency converter and a 10-day weather forecast, and users will receive flight fare special offers.
“This new service will go a long way in giving travellers easier and instant access to information whilst in transit or away from a computer,” said Marc Cavaliere, head of global sales development and alliances for SAA.
“The new functionalities are also helpful especially for passengers who are always on the go such as business travellers. This is another way of ensuring convenient travelling for our valued customers,” he added.
The apps are available for download for iOS and Android, from the Apple App Store and Google Play store.
